On Being Wrong Gracefully
Being wrong is not a moral failure. Refusing to admit it, after the evidence is in, often is.
When you discover you were mistaken, say so plainly. No long defense. No half-apology. Just: I had it wrong, and here is what I see now. People will trust you more, not less.
The opposite of stubbornness is not weakness. It is the willingness to follow the truth wherever it leads.
